The Infantil 1 group is an introduction to rhythm, music and dance for ages 4 to 5. Students are taught to identify songs and where the dance is from. Basic steps, arm movements and posture are learned. Performances are only when staging is appropriate. Two "Vestuarios" (the outfits) must be purchased. Additional vestuario we will try to provide.

Children's 1 group teaches additional rhythm, music and dance for ages 6 to 7. Students identify songs, music and what state/region of Mexico it's from. There is more focus on basic steps, arm movement and stage presence. Performances are only when staging is appropriate. Two "Vestuarios" (the outfits) must be purchased. Additional vestuario we will try to provide.

Children's 2 group teaches additional rhythm, music and dance for ages 8 to 9. Students identify songs, music and what state/region of Mexico it's from. There is strong focus on steps, arm movement and stage presence. Performances are only when staging is appropriate. Two "Vestuarios" (the outfits) must be purchased. Additional vestuario we will try to provide.

The Junior Group is a challenging class for the dancer age 10 to 15 with little and/or some experience. Information on music, songs "Vestuario" (the outfits) and history is given for full understanding of what is being learned. Strong emphasis is given to technique and stage presence. Vestuario is generally provided for all performances. Additional vestuario may need to be purchased.

The Monday Adult Group is an easy going class for the novice or step-by-step learner. This is also a good choice for intermediate level or returning dancers. There is no set recommended age. This group offers detailed information of "cuadros" performed. Performances are only when staging is appropriate. "Vestuario" (the outfits) is generally provided for all performances.

The Adult Group is a fast-paced setting for the seasoned and experienced dancer. Age is not a set requirement, but the level of knowledge must be high. This group offers detailed information of "cuadros" performed and has Maestros come in to teach Master Classes. Performance expectations are at professional levels and come often. "Vestuario" (the outfits) is generally provided for all performances.

The Resident Company is the group to represent Alegre to the highest level. The Company dancers have a vast knowledge of folklorico and our repetoire. Performance expectations are at professional levels and come often. Dancers must have experience dancing with Alegre and then they can audition to be a Resident Company dancer. "Vestuario" (the outfits) is generally provided for all performances.
